For a few hours October 7, you set the price at Clover Food Lab’s fifteenth restaurant

Today, Clover Food Lab, a top choice for kosher and vegetarian food in Boston, opened its fifteenth location — but its first with a grocery store — at 330 Foley St. in Somerville’s Assembly Row.

And per tradition, when the new restaurant holds its grand opening this Friday, October 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., you’ll get to pay whatever price you want for Clover’s whole menu, from a chickpea fritter sandwich to Armenian potato salad and a Japanese sweet potato platter. Banking on the overall generosity of customers, Clover plans to donate any proceeds from the event to Mystic River Watershed Association, a nonprofit working to protect and restore the Mystic River.

As reported previously, this Clover (styled as CloverROW for online orders) is the local chain’s first to include a grocery store, which will feature the company’s own meal boxes, dips, compound butters, and more alongside Northeast specialty goods like Massachusetts produce, New York maple syrup, and copious amounts of coffee beans from roasters throughout New England.

The retail operation is a partnership with Bobby MacLean and Alexandra Whisnant, who are also behind exceptional chocolate and dessert shop Gâté Comme Des Filles and grocery shop Picnic & Pantry (both located at Bow Market) and cellphone-free wine and dessert bar Zuzu’s Petals, which opened in Cambridge last year.
